Ekbatan Hotel, Office Park + Shopping Centre precinct - Iran
The master plan and urban design implementation of an urban island site, bounded by an extensive freeway network, a rail transit system and adjacent to high rise residential towers.
The composition unifies a Mega – Mall shopping Centre, a Hotel, A restaurant building, A Mosque and future office buildings.
Pedestrian linkages and water are defining elements to creating a planning ideal – a way of enabling a completely new area of Teheran to expand in a sensible, non didactic way.
Connections with the site to the existing city strive to create a public amenity for both the existing community and the new components.
The planning also strives to dramatically reduce the ecological footprint of the new buildings to a more proportionate share of the environment.
